Tomado was originally a Dutch company. The name is a combination of Van der Togt Mass articles Dordrecht. The brand has been around for almost 100 years and has been making the most diverse household items since its establishment and is known for its quality, reliability and skill.

After the Second World War the reconstruction period of our country started and then Tomado experienced enormous growth. Tomado became the symbol of the modern household. In the years 50-60-70 almost every household had one or more Tomado products.

The most important characteristic of the Tomado products was the simplicity. The famous designer Gerrit Rietveld praised the products as a textbook example of excellent Dutch design.

One of Tomado’s classics is the bookshelf. In the meantime taken back into production but for the original examples from the 60s, considerable amounts are charged on the second-hand market.
