In 1929 Walter Thut founded the cabinetmaker’s shop in Möriken, Aargau. By his son Kurt Thut, the manufacturing program changed from 1953 fundamentally, as he designed new products after studying at the School of Applied Arts Zurich.
In 1958, a new production hall planned by Kurt Thut was added to the carpenter workshop. After the takeover by Kurt Thut, Thut AG was founded in 1970. With the increasingly constructive and creative use of new materials and technologies, the joiner’s workshop developed from the mid-80s to a flexible manufacturing and assembly workshop.
