Aksel Kjersgaard was a Danish furniture designer and manufacturer. After working and travelling throughout Europe, he returned home in 1952 and opened Aksel Kjersgaard A/S, his production company. Using beautiful material such as teak and rosewood, Kjersgaard became recognized for clean, minimalist aesthetics on their sideboards, dressers and cabinets. Kjersgaard frequently collaborated with the iconic Kai Kristiansen.
